Education Meetings Canceled and No News on Voucher Bill
Education action was slim under the Gold Dome. Both a House Education subcommittee and full committee meeting were canceled, delaying any formal consideration of private school voucher legislation in SB 47.
House Passes Education Foundation Merger
With only two dissenting votes, the House passed SB 66, carried in the House by Rep. Matthew Gambill (R-Cartersville). The legislation would merge the Georgia Foundation for Public Education and the Public Education Innovation Fund Foundation.
