TRS held its bimonthly meeting Nov. 17, 2021. TRS net assets in October 2021 reached $104,807,139,725. The audit committee presented KPMG’s unmodified opinion of the audit from June 30, 2021. Kenneth Dyer was named to the TRS investment committee, and the board announced its meeting dates for 2022.
Membership Report
In October, there were 279,238 members in active status, 241,487 actively contributing, and 140,921 retirees.
Nov. 1, there were 126,554 service retirees with an average monthly benefit of $3,445 and an average age at retirement of 59.

Audit Committee Report
The board heard a presentation on the audit conducted by KPMG. KPMG audited the year ending June 30, 2021. KPMG delivered an unmodified opinion of the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR). An unmodified opinion is a clean report.
Ribbon Cutting at Macon Office
The TRS office in Macon held its COVID-delayed ribbon cutting ceremony. This office allows TRS members an alternative to traveling to the Atlanta office.
